This time of year is a killer if you’re a sucker for sweet stuff. We have a place called Apple Hill not too far from where we live with over 50 farms and ranches growing all types of apples. But with the apples come apple pies, apple fritters, apple donuts…you get the picture. Apple season calls for apple treats! But, eating apple donuts at Apple Hill will kill my tummy later, and it’s just not worth it.
I had yet to come up with a grain free donut recipe that I was excited about. This morning, for Happy October Day (a tradition I started probably seven or eight years ago where we have fun, eat treats and put up our fall decorations), I decided I would tackle apple donuts. The kids gobbled them up and begged for more! Definitely a keeper recipe!
