It’s that time of year: apple season! My kids and I just went to a local orchard on a field trip and came home with apples coming out our ears.
Even though I have a few pie crust recipes on my site, I haven’t been able to master the flaky top crust. Usually, my crusts would fall apart and I just couldn’t make a great pie with a top crust. Until now.
This grain free apple pie has the most flakey, light crust I’ve tried!
Note: The secret to making the inside of this pie so amazing is to slice the apples thin. I used THIS to ensure I had nice, thin apples. And, it peeled and cored them for me, too!
